Keys to make your show stand out

Now that there are so man podcasts available, you need to make your show stand out. Here are a few tactics to make it an easy process.

Direct Outcomes

Do people know why they should listen to your podcast? You’d be shocked to know how few podcast hosts make this clear. Craft a message that is direct and specific to listeners of your podcast. “Listen to (podcast name) if you want (desired outcome).” Yes, it is that simple.

Leverage Experience

You are unique because of your experiences. Everything you have gone through, good and bad, make you more of who you are. Start to include more of who you are in episodes. This could be your solo content, interviews, roundtable episodes-literally any type of episode you create.

Social is for Updates

When using social media as a podcaster, try not to beg people to listen to your show. You can get stuck in a loop of asking for support nonstop and it won’t work. Every podcast tries this! Instead, try giving people insight into what it takes to produce your show. You could post an Instagram story before your interview or explain the process of editing your content. Give people a reason to want to connect with your show.
